Did you ever dream about sailing the ocean for many years? Traveling to 85 countries in the world and connecting with whales is the world of our next guest for the SANUSPLANET Podcast.

Barbara Veiga is a filmmaker, photographer and activist from Brazil based in Portugal. She is the author of the book Sete anos em Sete Mares ("Seven years in Seven Seas"), a biography about her experiences sailing in more than 80 countries with various international organizations, including her sailboat. 

Veiga is an artist who wants to converge her multiple talents to bring awareness to protect the Ocean and the Planet. 
She's also one of the masterminds of the movement "Women's League of the Ocean'' (Liga das Mulheres Pelos Oceanos) which now has more than 2300 women associated.

Maggy met Barbara on the Faroe Islands in 2014, where she was doing important media work for the organization Sea Shepherd.
