Today we have a very special podcast episode for you, because it's about a topic that is very important to our activist Maggy: marine conservation.
In this episode you will get to know Gary Stokes. Gary was director of Sea Shepherd Asia for many years and then started his own organization, OceansAsia.
In 2016 Maggy met Gary in the streets of Hong Kong, where they documented the legal and illegal shark fin trade.
Gary on OceansAsia: "OceansAsia is a marine conservation organization based in Asia. We practice 'Intelligence Based Conservation' whilst investigating illegal operations in the wildlife trade, IUU fishing on the high seas or tracking down the sources of marine debris.
Utilizing the latest technologies to gather information and backed up by our research team, we aim to bring a 'no compromise' approach to marine conservation issues."
